Halloween Carnival Cupcakes

 Ethan's class was in charge of the cupcake walk again for the school Halloween Carnival.  How do we get so lucky every year!  Ethan and I searched the internet again looking for easy but fun ideas.  Here's what we came up with...

 Bloody knife cupcakes.  We found these knifes at Wal-Mart so it was super easy.  We used this recipe for the blood. We cut the recipe in half.

• Edible Blood:
• 1/2 cup light corn syrup
• 1 tablespoon cornstarch
• 1/4 cup water, or more as needed
• 15 drops red food coloring

 These were the favorite of all the boys.  Why do they love blood so much!

 Jack Skellington- another super easy cupcake.  The thing that is so great about these is they don't have to be perfect.

 Monster cupcakes- we love doing these every year. We used different tips to create different fur. We used dum-dums, peach rings, edible eyes, and gummy lifesavers for the eyes.

We even tried to add eyelashes to a dum-dum. Happy Halloween!
