We wanted to make a fun cake for Easter today!
We found this idea online. It was really easy.
To make the cake we mixed up a basic white cake mix from a box and separated it into 4 bowls. One of them stayed the same and we colored the other batter the color of our peeps (green, yellow, and purple.) We spooned the batter evenly in 2- 8 inch pans. Once they baked and cooled we stacked them with some green cream cheese frosting in between. I used my go to recipe, 8 oz softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup butter softened, 1 tsp vanilla, and 3 1/2-4 cups powdered sugar.
We frosted the sides of the cake and added the peeps, I used a grass tip to pipe on the grass up top and added more peeps and jelly beans.
Happy Easter!
