Robot Cake Pops

Wyatt is participating in a Robotics class at the school this summer. He loves it! They are taking turns bringing in snacks and today is Wyatts turn. He wanted to help make these fun robot cake pops that we found in the Bakerella cake pop book.
We started out by baking a white cake mix. Once it cooled we crumbled it and added 8 oz of softened cream cheese. We made small square/rectangle shapes and put them in the fridge to chill. We melted almond bark and added a small amount of black gel coloring to create a gray color. I used some paramount crystals (wax) to the chocolate to make it more thin to dip. Use a small bowl so that it is deep enough to fully submerge the robot in.
First, dip the lollipop sticks into the chocolate and then inserted them into the squares about half way. Then, dip the robot into the chocolate and remove in one motion. Tap excess chocolate off by holding the pop over the bowl in one hand and tapping your wrist gently with your other hand. Rotate the stick as you do this. Insert the stick into a styrofoam block to dry.
Use a toothpick or a small (new) paint brush to add chocolate to the candy before putting it on the robot. Apply the coating to the bottom of the robot and slide a lifesaver through the stick to attach it. On some of them I added a candy necklace piece to the bottom of the lifesaver.
Eyes=candy necklace pieces
Mouth=Airhead extreme strips cut into pieces
Ears=candy buttons (I found these at a candy store)
Antennae=spaghetti noodles (gently push these through the chocolate) *you can add a candy necklace piece through the antennae on some of these.
I like the rainbow mouth on this on.
I filled a bucket with styrofoam and covered it with aluminum foil and then inserted the sticks into the foam to make them stay.
