Rain, Rain Go Away...

So what's a mom like me suppose to do when my oldest comes home from school saying he's had a bad week and things aren't looking up?  Well it's simple I turn to treats.  They are the answer to every bad day or situation, right?

I think part of his bad week is because it has been raining none stop for a week.  No recess for a boy can get to you.  So we decided to make umbrella rice crispies to help us get over our rain blues.  And to make it even more special he decided to share them with his friends at school.
While we were at it, we wanted to "brighten" the day for
Wyatt's preschool class too! These are the plain ones.
We also made a peanut butter batch, our favorite.
Combine 1 cup sugar and 1 cup karo syrup in saucepan on low heat.
Dissolve sugar and once it boils add 1 1/4 cup peanut butter
then pour over a bowl of 4 to 5 cups rice crispies.
