Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I made these for the ladies I visit teach at church.  They probably aren't blog worthy but I wanted to have the recipe on my blog.
I found the cute boxes in the dollar spot at target.  I filled them with puppy chow.
  • cups Chex cereal (any kind)
  • cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
  • 1/2 cup smooth peanut butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 -2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • Directions

    • 1Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.
    • 2In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 1 minute; stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 2-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.
    • 3Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
